Role: Java Developer

Location: NYC (Hybrid)

Company: Fintech Venture: Capital Markets Tech

We are currently seeking a talented and driven Java Developer to join our team full-time. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise to a fintech venture with emphasis in capital markets tech based out of the New York City and in exchange we’ll provide you with base comp $150k-$300k, full benefits, cash bonus, and equity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience developing server-side software for electronic trading systems for US Equities

  • Strong low-latency programming experience using Core Java 17 or later

  • Strong understanding of data structures and caching strategies, including sets, maps, hash tables, and caches

  • Experience with dependency injection, inversion of control, and event-driven architecture

  • Experience developing and maintaining automated end-to-end tests

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly Preferred:

  • Experience with open-source technologies such as Aeron Transport, Aeron Cluster, Aeron Archive, Artio, and Agrona

  • Experience with the Adaptive Hydra trading platform

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS services, particularly EC2 and S3

  • Experience with Spring and Spring Boot

  • Knowledge of microservices-based architecture

  • Experience with Unix shell scripting

  • Experience with development and collaboration tools such as GitHub, Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, and Maven

  • Experience with AMPS, kdb+, or enterprise messaging technologies such as JMS, IBM MQ, or TIBCO
